What is Thriftle?

An online shop selling pre-loved baby and children's clothes, baby and children's equipment, toys, books and other items, created to keep clothes and items circular for a little longer.

Why does Thriftle exist?

Thriftle exists to help parents access and buy second hand clothes easily and affordably. Let's face it, kids grow so fast and new clothes can be expensive. Equally, Thriftle provides a way to easily declutter wardrobes and sell those items you have been meaning to sell but haven't found the time to yet.

How do I purchase items through Thriftle?

Easy! Simply add items from the Shop to your basket and complete the check-out process.

How do I sell items with Thriftle?

Start a Comment on the Contact Us page with the word "SELL" and include some brief notes about your location and a member of the Thriftle team will be in touch to discuss further.

Do you collect donations for free?

Yes! Currently free in the Brisbane metro area.

What items does Thriftle accept for sale or donation?

Currently baby and children's clothes up to and including age 12 in good condition, undamaged and in working order. All brands currently accepted. Thriftle also accepts small to medium items too that are easy for one person to carry and can fit in a car!

What items does Thriftle NOT accept for sale or donation?

Whilst we would love to collect everything to save as much from landfill as possible, we are not yet set up to be able to. Items that Thriftle do not currently accept are: underwear, items in multiples that are not a complete set (e.g. one shoe instead of two), socks, large heavy items, anything that is ripped, stained or soiled, counterfeit clothing and items and generally anything in poor condition that you yourself would not buy.

What fees does Thriftle charge?

There are no fees for buyers apart from the cost of the item and postage if selected. Sellers do not get charged directly to sell items but 60% of the item selling price is retained by Thriftle as a consignment fee.

It's designed to be quick and easy for busy parents. Head to the Shop and find a collection that suits what you are looking for. Or, if you are after something specific, apply filters and search more specifically by age, colour, price or type.
